File handling facts
| Area | What to know |
|---|
| Local files | SlideScope opens supported microscopy files from your computer for desktop review. |
| Shared links | Users can choose to open direct file links or shared folders from services such as Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox. |
| Local cache | Linked files can be cached locally so repeat review is faster and more resumable. |
| Support form | Do not send patient-identifying information, confidential clinical data, payment details, or restricted research data in support requests. |
| AI Analysis | AI Analysis is optional and uses the user's OpenAI API key. Do not use AI features with data your policy does not allow you to send to an external AI provider. |
Clinical-use limitation
SlideScope is positioned for research, education, teaching, pathology review, biomedical image inspection, and workflow review. It is not presented as a turnkey clinical diagnostic platform. Any clinical diagnostic use depends on institutional validation, regulatory requirements, and medical software policies.
Billing and trial clarity
SlideScope offers a 14-day full-access trial. PayPal or card approval is required before access, and the plan is $2.99/month after the trial unless canceled. This page exists so buyers can evaluate the workflow with clear expectations before subscribing.
What to ask before subscribing
- Do your files include CZI, ND2, SVS, DICOM, or TIFF?
- Do you need Mac and Windows support?
- Do you need review, metadata, measurement, and export rather than acquisition control?
- Does your lab policy allow shared-link loading or optional AI Analysis for the files you plan to use?
- Are you evaluating for research, education, or review rather than regulated clinical diagnosis?
