One Viewer for Every Instrument in the Lab, on One Bill
Your confocal writes CZI or ND2, the slide scanner writes SVS or NDPI, and a collaborator sends LIF. SlideScope opens all of them on each person's Windows or Mac computer, and lab plans put the whole group on one subscription: seats for the people who do the work, free access for the colleagues who only look.

What a lab plan includes
Pooled contributor seats
Contributors open their own images, measure, annotate, export, share and run AI Analysis. The lab admin invites and removes people from the account page.
Unlimited viewing colleagues
PIs, collaborators and students who only view what contributors share sign in with a free account and never take a seat.
Everything in the viewer
34 formats, calibrated measurements, Quantify cell counting, figures with Methods text, share links, Safe Share and AI Analysis, for every contributor.
Small Lab: up to 5 contributors. Buy online.
Lab: up to 15 contributors. Buy online.
Large Lab: up to 30 contributors, through our team.
Institutional: site licenses for departments and core facilities, through our team.
Each lab plan also comes as Plus, for labs that sync whole folders to SlideScope Cloud. Prices for every plan, monthly and annual, are on the plans page.
How different teams use it
Imaging core facilities
Users leave the facility with files from several instruments and no license for the vendor software at their desk. One viewer that opens CZI, ND2, LIF, OIB/OIR, VSI, NDPI and SVS on Windows and Mac means fewer "I can't open my data" emails to the facility. See the format compatibility reference.
A 10-channel, 8-plane Imaris multiplex image of mouse retina in composite mode, from the free sample library.
Pathology research groups
Review scanned slides, measure in micrometres, and send a slide to a collaborator as a share link. Safe Share strips the label photo and identifying metadata first. SlideScope is for research and review, not diagnosis.
Preclinical and toxicology teams
Second reviewers open the same slide with the first reviewer's notes, regions and measurements attached, read-only. The slide quality check (Analysis > Check Slide Quality) runs on your computer and finds out-of-focus areas and missing tiles before a study set goes out.
Teaching labs
Students open the course slide set on their own laptops, without a server or a microscope each, and can ask AI Analysis what they are looking at in their own language.

Buying for a lab
Small Lab and Lab are paid online through PayPal, which accepts cards, monthly or annually, on one bill for the whole lab. The lab is created the moment payment confirms, and you invite members from your account page right away.
Prefer an invoice or a purchase order? Contact us and we arrange it within one business day. The same goes for quotes and teams of more than 30 contributors.
Lab plans bill from the first day. To evaluate first, one person can start the Individual 3-day trial on their own images.
Students and academic researchers can ask support for an academic code.

Questions labs ask
Who needs a seat on a SlideScope lab plan?
Only contributors: the people who open their own images, annotate, measure, export, share or run AI Analysis. Colleagues who only view what contributors share with them sign in with a free account and do not use a seat.
How many people do the lab plans cover?
Small Lab covers up to 5 contributors and Lab up to 15; both can be bought online. Large Lab covers up to 30 contributors, and institutional site licenses cover departments and core facilities; both go through our team. Every plan includes unlimited viewing colleagues.
Is there a trial for lab plans?
Lab plans bill from the first day. To evaluate first, one person can start the Individual 3-day trial on their own images, or contact us to talk through your lab's formats and workflow.
How does the lab pay?
Small Lab and Lab are paid online through PayPal, which accepts cards, monthly or annually, on one bill for the whole lab. If you prefer an invoice or a purchase order, contact us and we arrange it within one business day.
Can SlideScope replace our image server?
Not if you need a central archive with permissions, search and server-side analysis; that is what OMERO and enterprise image-management systems are for. SlideScope covers daily viewing, measuring, annotating and sharing on each person's Windows or Mac computer, with no server to run.
Quick answers
Best fit: research labs, imaging core facilities, pathology research groups, preclinical teams and teaching labs with 2 to 30 people who open microscopy or slide images every week.
Key strengths: one desktop viewer for 34 formats on Windows and Mac, seats only for contributors, unlimited viewing colleagues, share links with Safe Share, AI Analysis, and published prices.
Important limitation: not a central image archive, LIMS or diagnostic system.
