You can open Aperio SVS files with Aperio ImageScope, Leica’s free viewer for Windows, which is no longer under active development; with QuPath, which is free on Windows, Mac and Linux; or with SlideScope, a desktop viewer for Windows and Mac with a free trial. On a Mac, ImageScope is not an option. The steps below use SlideScope.

SlideScope runs natively on macOS 14 or later, so you do not need a Windows PC or virtual machine for the vendor viewer. Choose the Apple Silicon or Intel download and copy the slide to local storage before opening it.
